Do you ever go through the same dilemma every year; I can’t wear that because it’s not “fall” enough?
Maybe you haven’t heard, but this fall and winter is fully focused on a different color palette than the usual browns, blacks or greys.
Haute hues include:
Orange: This doesn’t just mean plain orange-it ranges in many different shades. This is a great color to add to any ensemble. It adds warmth and the feel of the season to your outfit. Check this adorable outfit HERE.
Purple: Deep and dark, just like how the weather will be soon! Just kidding! But get yourself ready with a rich eggplant scarf or dress. It is a fun alternative to wearing black. You can even try using purple in your make-up palette. It is a great color to use to create a smoky eye rather than using a flat black.
Pink: Baby pink is particularly popular this year. Using this color more settle makes a big impact. A cute top paired with a grey coat looks super cute and very feminine. Wearing pink reminds you that you can still look girly when it’s cold outside. You can even accessorize with pink.
Yellow: I love brightening up an outfit with yellow. I think a lot of people think it is a loud color and don’t feel comfortable wearing it. Learn to love it! It’s fabulous for fall this year. You don’t have to focus your whole outfit on the color, just add a little until you feel more comfortable wearing something bold.
White: Yes, I said it. I know you are all wondering, what about that one rule no white after Labor Day? Well, throw that rule out the window this year! Anything from pure white to ivory is in style this season. It gives off a glamorous and dreamy aura. Take advantage and have fun with white just like these models pictured above.
Green: Starting with hunter green to a blue marine green, any color is hot! I’ve always loved using dark green when the seasons change because it reminds me of the pine trees and the holidays to come. It’s a great color for everyone and anyone to wear, and flatters any skin tone, too.
Most of all don’t be afraid to wear colors you’re not used to wearing. This is the season of change after all, right?
