    What Have We Learned?

We went from people flipping out that Bert and Ernie were not outed on Sesame Street, to people banning Sesame Street for it’s so called “gay” agenda, and the actual creators of Sesame Street, saying in perhaps less colorful vocabulary, “What the f*ck are you guys talking about!?”

    Carly Bids Farewell

My original intention for submitting what became my first article to Natalie was just to get some feedback. I certainly wasn’t expected to be taken on as a part-time columnist with free reign over my choice in subject matter. Suddenly, I had a platform. But finding important things to say does not automatically come with the ability to say them.

Killing for No Reason At All

Are You Depressed or Just Sad?

A person suffering from depression may not necessarily be able to do so. When someone is sad, he or she tends to know that things will get better over time. A person going through depression does not see an end to his or her problem and think things will get worse.

    The Power of Altruism

"Our findings make a simple but profound point about altruism: helping others makes us happier.

Altruism is not a form of martyrdom, but operates for many as part of a healthy psychological reward system.”

    No Pain, No Gain?

Always listen to your body (this is a huge rule that many people ignore). If it hurts, don’t do it! If you feel a little “hey” maybe be careful or skip whatever movement involves that body part until another day.  Continually putting pressure on an injury is a surefire way to cause a further injury or prevent this one from healing.

2 Weeks to a New YOU!

It's two weeks until that big event. You know the one -where you desperately want to walk in amidst a cloud of fog, mood lighting, and all eyes turn towards you. The problem is you didn’t think to make preparations to achieve that goal until right this second; 14 days and counting.
