Summer: The Perfect Season for Singles

Who wants to be bogged down, anyway, when the weather is this gorgeous?

Many people say that the season for lovers is spring. Flowers are blooming, grass turns green and the birds are singing. Everyone walks with a little more “spring” in their step (no pun intended!) and the winter clothes can finally come off. But what about the hot, sticky days of summer?

Summer is a time for vacation, outdoor adventures and paper umbrellas. The clothes are casual and so are the relationships. So here are some tips to have a great summer romance without the fuss or muss of having a heavy romantic relationship:

Be Real Up Front
You aren’t looking for anything long-term, so make that clear right away. When everyone is on the same page, things are much easier to maneuver and you can avoid the awkward “morning-after” conversation.

Flirting is FUN
Who cares if you have no intention of ever calling or actually hooking up? It is fun to meet for a drink, get a little tipsy and discuss all the hot things you want to do to each other...if you ever ended up on a deserted island together...half the fun is in creating the fantasy!

Wear Protection ALWAYS
Summer time means hormones are raging, so make sure you always carry condoms with you. When things get hot and heavy, you don’t want to have to interrupt the fun by running to the drugstore! Be safe, be smart, and try out all the different fun varieties for his and her pleasure!

Enjoy A Night (or Several!) Just For Friends
The great part about being single in the summertime is that there are always pool parties going on, barbecues to attend, and rooftop cocktail parties to enjoy. Imagine if you had a partner and had to coordinate your schedules or pick and choose whose friends to hang out with. When you are single and ready to mingle, the world is your oyster, so dive in and be that social butterfly.

No One to Answer To
Want to take that random roadtrip with your old college roommate? Want to reconnect with an old flame from long ago? How about just having a friendly dinner with your ex? Summer is the time for illogical, silly, romantic and fantastical experiences. Don’t limit yourself, enjoy yourself, instead!
