The ‘Real Life’ Samantha Jones?

I have heard that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but I never thought I would read about a grown woman sleeping with 1,000 men just to emulate the ‘Sex and the City’ character, Samantha Jones.

‘The View’ Under Attack for Inaccurate Information on the Spread of HIV

Sherri Shepherd is the last person I would take seriously when discussing science or medicine considering she once stated on the popular daytime talk show that she believed the world was flat and does not believe in evolution. On June 22, 2010, she proved yet again why she should stick to doing what she does best, telling jokes and discussing celebrity gossip.

Steroid Able to “Prevent” Lesbianism?

Posted by Natalie on Wed, 30.06.10 at 01:11PM in In the News Self Awareness Sexuality/Health

Well, now we’ve done it. We’ve taken nature into our own hands and have found a way to possibly ‘prevent’ lesbianism and even increase a girl’s desire to become wife, mommy, and reduce her desire for “men’s work.”  Sound like something out of a Margaret Atwood novel? I only wish it were.

Celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton (whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, Jr.) was in trouble recently for posting a photo of Miley Cyrus that showed her exiting a car, seemingly without her underwear on. Readers of his infamous blog were told not to click on the link to the photo if they were “easily offended”.

Sex, love, and the pursuit of healthy relationships. When you are able to talk about broad topics such as these, the possibilities are endless! And, so were the questions! From lesbians losing their mojo, to a devoted husband of thirty years who just wants a bj, the questions kept getting better and better!

Christina Aguilera: Faux Lesbian?

Why Xtina is Sometimes Attracted to Women

Christina Aguilera has had a rough couple of months. Her album, Bionic, isn’t doing as well as expected and she recently canceled an upcoming tour to promote her album due to “scheduling conflicts”. So, when your career is heading south, it’s the best time to be controversial and keep your name in the press.

Real Housewife of New Jersey Releases Sex Tape…

...And I Think It Gave My Computer Herpes

Aw, The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Bravo has really outdone themselves, this time! I will admit it, my name is Natalie and I am a Real Housewives of (any city will do) addict. I like watching all of their petty drama unfold before me. Yes, it’s mindless entertainment, but that’s what Monday nights at 10pm are for, after all!

Is Parental Consent Necessary for a Minor to Have an Abortion?

Posted by Natalie on Wed, 09.06.10 at 10:28AM in In the News Self Awareness Sexuality/Health

I think about this question a lot, considering I have a sister who is just finishing high school. So many girls her age and younger are sexually active and often times going at it unprotected and misinformed. Even the ones that aren’t having sex are running into issues about their bodies with their parents. For example, one girl needs to get on the pill to help reduce her ovarian cysts, but her mother refuses to because she worries it will be an “excuse” for her to have sex. So, the question remains. Do your parents need to know if you want to go on birth control, use the morning after pill or have an abortion? At what point do women control their reproductive bodies? When a girl starts menstruating, does that give her the right to take control of her cycle?

According to a 17 year-old study conducted at the University of California that studied families headed by lesbian parents, the answer is yes. This study showed that these children were more psychologically sound, have less behavioral issues, were less aggressive and less prone to breaking rules than children raised by heterosexual parents.

Adult Breastfeeding Establishes “Maternal Relations” in the Middle East

Sounds to Me Like Some Countries Have Mommy Issues...

As many of us know, women and men in Saudi Arabia must be careful not to mingle, as the insanely strict Islamic law bans mixing between the sexes who are not related. Recently, the Saudis have issued a fatwa that forces women who come into contact with unrelated men on a regular basis to breastfeed them so that they can be considered “relatives” and not potential lovers. The strangest part is, this isn’t the actual issue at hand. The issue is, how do the men get the milk? I know, it just gets weirder.

Uganda Eats the Poo Poo

Warning: This Video is Very Graphic. Weak Stomaches Beware!

Seriously, has it come to this? With all of the plights facing Africa: famine, widespread child trafficking, forced prostitution, civil war, international raping of their natural resources and a rampant HIV epidemic leaving millions of children orphaned or infected, the Ugandans believe this is the best way to spend their time? Discussing what two consenting men do in the privacy of their own bedroom?

Sex in Space?

How Do You ‘Kiss the Bride’ in a Space Suit?

...Weddings (and Sex) in Space Inevitable

Would you take a honeymoon in outer space? How about speaking your wedding vows in a black desert of space where no one can hear you say, “I do.”

Sound far-fetched and like a cheesy sci-fi movie? Think again. Weddings in space are coming to a sky near you, and experts believe that ‘cosmic consummation’ will naturally follow (if we aren’t there already).
