The Most Epic Marriage Proposal Ever

Posted by Natalie on Wed, 30.05.12 at 08:25AM in In the News Love

I don't care how cynical you are about the idea of marriage, or commitment, or romance...or any of the other words surrounding the idea of a engagement proposal. This is one of the sweetest, most over-the-top proposals I have ever seen and I just had to share! So, take off the sarcasm hat (for just a minute!) and let yourself enjoy the thing we all want in this world...a love that goes the distance!

Forget the gays...they have nothing on Facebook, apparently! Maybe the evangelicals should start going after Mark Zuckerberg, instead! (I’m sure he’s in Leviticus, somewhere!)

The Fear of Letting Go (Of Stuff)

Recently, I left my puppy alone in my house for two hours. After a couple incidents where she got into things she shouldn’t have, I barricaded her into the kitchen. I left her bones and plenty of toys to chew on, thinking that would occupy her during my time away. Confidently, I walked out the door.

When I returned later that day I was greeted by a happy puppy. But, something didn’t seem right. As I removed the barricade, I walked into my bedroom and saw not one, not two, and not even three or four, but FIVE shoes torn and shredded. I looked at Copper in disbelief. How could the sweet, innocent and adorable puppy looking straight into my eyes do such a thing?

I stumbled upon this video on YouTube today and the timing couldn’t be anymore perfect. I’m sure many of you are aware that North Carolina has now banned gay marriage from the state, thus subjugating the LGBTQ community to a life of second-class citizenship. In case anyone has any confusion, civil unions or domestic partnerships are NOT the same as a legal marriage and do not contain nearly the same amount of privileges and legal rights that a heterosexual couple receives when married by the state.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I --
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
