Slow Down (It’s Good For You)

I can’t imagine many boyfriends or girlfriends — or married couples — really enjoying their partner catching a cold or the flu. There could be several days of sleeping in separate rooms, no date nights or snuggling on the couch and, of course. no sex. I can’t really see sneezing and a running nose being a turn on.  Maybe it’s just me?

Romance: Too Much to Ask For?

Unfortunately, the same idea exists when talking about relationships, romance, and love.  Even if you’re just talking about what you hope to find in a potential boyfriend, people do not hesitate to shoot you down before you have a chance to even daydream a little about what he might look like and where you’ll meet.

There’s Nothing Wrong With Being Child-Free

It is no longer taboo to be gay or perpetually single; we accept and applaud the strength people show in living the way they want to live. But somehow, accepting attitudes tend to be almost non-existent when a friend or family member chooses to live a child-free life.

Kimmie on the Prowl: Check ‘Yes’ or ‘No’

Speed dating was actually pretty fun! A timer would buzz after five minutes and the men would then move on to the next woman, and we all diligently took notes on our date cards about the person we just met. There was also a "Yes" or "No" we could circle and after the event we were to log in and input our choices. If both parties selected "Yes," we would instantly be emailed a notification.

    Working Out With a Partner

It is so nice to have a great training partner. We are able to push each other to limits we probably would not reach on our own.  It also makes the workout more enjoyable as a whole. There are many great reasons to train with a partner. And for those of you who want to train with your significant other, there can be many great benefits to that, as well.

Hey, Workaholic: Are You Destroying Your Relationships?

As much as we love — and are addicted to — our work, spending all of that time focusing on our job means that less time is spent on creating, maintaining and building relationships.

Love Your Mate But Can’t Stand Their Friends?

Is there a friend of the person you are dating who just doesn’t seem to like you? Consider their motives. Perhaps you can be the bigger person, take the high road, and treat them courteously. No one said you need to be best friends, but try first to kill them with kindness, and see if they warm up.

    No Burger is Bland

I have a great recipe that will fire up a veggie, beef or turkey burger.  I call it the SOCAL Burger, for Southern California burger.  It simple to make and with a few sides will put a big smile on your partner's face.

The Hollywood Outsider: Hodge Podge Week

This week the world says goodbye to a Hollywood legend, we follow up on a story from last week, and the Outsider has written a bonus story that has nothing to do with Hollywood (yet) but is a new way to meet that special someone! Plus, Kim Kardashian wants to run for public office. Nuff said.
