When it comes to love, it’s not just about timing but location, location, location.
Being at the right place is just as important as being there at the right time. So where should you be to find love, and where should you be if you’ve already got it and want to keep it healthy and happy?
Sunny California has more to offer than just surf and sand. Cities like San Diego and San Jose, CA are great for singles, with the US Census reporting 55% single men, 55% single women and 47% single men and 48% single women respectively.
Already hitched and looking for other married couples to hang with? Corona, CA has just over 63% married couples as does Simi Valley. If you are in a same-sex relationship, California is probably the best state to meet like-minded couples. Boasting 87,078 same sex households, at 33% California has the highest number of same-sex cohabitants in the nation. Healthy minded people, great weather, and a slew of outdoor activities from surfing, skiing, and hiking make this state a great place to stay fit in body, mind, and love.
Head further up the west coast to Seattle, Washington if you are looking for love. This city has 59% single men and 60% single women.
If you are single and ready to mingle, Miami isn’t the only game in town when it comes to Florida. Orlando has 60% single men and 61% single women. Gainesville also has 73% single men and 75% single women.
New York has more going on than just the Big Apple with it comes to sex in the city. Head north to Rochester where there are 68% single men and 70% single women.
Washington, DC isn’t just our nation’s capitol. Being such a political town, DC is our nation’s most transient, with only 37% of people who live there having been born there. Politicians come and go, and when they do, so do their staff. DC is a great place to meet someone ambitious and focused, but you also must be up for relocating and adventure.
The areas surrounding DC are filled with singles. Norfolk, VA boasts 62% single men and 60% single women. Alexandria, VA also has 59% single women and 53% single men. Looking for beauty and brains? Over 37% of the population in Arlington, VA have bachelor’s degrees.
